He had rotations with Dr. Myron Tucker in Charlotte, North Carolina and Dr. Eric Dierks in Portland, Oregon in Orthognathic Surgery and Facial Pathology and Aesthetic/Reconstructive Surgery. During his chief year he passed the American Dental Society of Anesthesia Fellowship exam in Richmond, Virginia in 2002.

In 2002, the final leg of his journey, he was accepted to one of the top fellowships in Facial Aesthetic Surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. His mentor was T. W. Evans DDS, MD, FACS an internationally renowned speaker of Facial Aesthetic Surgery. During his fellowship, he spent time with Dominic Brandy of the Enhanced Images Institute, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania learning the art and science of hair transplantation. In the fall of his fellowship he was given the distinctive honor to lecture at the 28th Annual Louisiana State University Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Review Course in the basic principles of blepharoplasy and otoplasty.
